2025 in Review

An incredible year of growth, innovation, and community. From v5 release to expanding our developer ecosystem, 2025 marked several milestones for Medplum's open-source healthcare platform.

As we close out 2025, the Medplum team would love to thank our community and customers for joining us on this journey.

We wanted to highlight a few memorable moments and reflect on all that happened during the year. It was a lot of fun, and huge thank you to the team who pushed so hard to make all these things happen.

✅ Launched our new brand identity, reflecting our evolution as a leading open-source healthcare infrastructure platform. See the details here.

✅ Hosted our first annual developer conference PlumCon 2025 in San Francisco, bringing together healthcare innovators from around the world

✅ Delivered many new features and integrations, including enhanced AI capabilities with MCP server support, custom FHIR operations, IHE IRA radiology reporting certification, and expanded integrations with health information exchange, medications, and revenue cycle.

✅ A special thank you to those who contributed this year - we now have 157 talented contributors from around the world building the future of healthcare together

✅ Incredible ecosystem growth: 1,462 pull requests, 55 releases, 551 issues resolved, 2.1K GitHub stars, and 500K+ Docker downloads powering healthcare applications globally

✅ Added many wonderful customers, and several have made videos of their implementations. See case studies and PlumCon recap for videos.

✅ Organized several events throughout this year, including FHIR + AI for Life Sciences, Scheduling Agents for Healthcare Operations, and Visualizing Patient Flow, building our community of healthcare developers
